Kavishka Warnakula
Hi, I’m Kavishka — a filmmaker and sound-focused creative currently based in the UK, originally from Sri Lanka. I’m studying Filmmaking at Nottingham Trent University, where I continue to develop my craft across sound, cinematography, and storytelling.
My work moves between short films, documentaries, and music videos, with a strong focus on capturing authentic moments through both image and sound. I’m particularly drawn to the details that shape a scene — the atmosphere, the rhythm, and the subtle emotions that bring stories to life.
I enjoy working in collaborative environments, taking on different roles and adapting to each project’s needs. Whether I’m behind the camera or working with sound on set, I aim to create work that feels honest, immersive, and engaging.
For me, filmmaking is about translating ideas and experiences into something people can connect with — visually and emotionally.
